PERIOD HQ in Portland, OR is in need of DRIVERS for distribution!
If you are over the age of 16 and a licensed driver in the Portland area, please fill out this GOOGLE FORM to help us get products to menstruators in need. This is a volunteer position. (Do not need to apply through general application below)

Shipping Manager - Portland, OR
PERIOD Inc. is looking for people interested in supply-chain management & getting behind-the-scenes of the PERIOD National team. The Shipping Manager will deal with purchasing, arranging and coordinating all national shipments from our PERIOD headquarters. They will work closely with the Operations Director to arrange deliveries of menstrual hygiene products, maintain inventories and pursue cheaper shipping rates cross several carriers. They will be in charge of several regular donation cycles with Cup & Cloth program and the National Care Packing Program. This entry-level position provides numerous opportunities for promotion. Commitment level is roughly five (5) hours a week. This is a volunteer position.

PERIOD Cup & Cloth Director - Portland, OR
The Cup & Cloth Director will work closely with the Programs Director to continue to develop the sustainability sector of PERIOD’s educational work. They will liaise with PERIOD chapters to help coordinate Cup & Cloth Workshops in their communities. The Cup & Cloth Director will also be the main point-person for C&C-related questions from chapter leaders. Commitment level is usually five (5) hours a week. At times will increase based on workshops. This is a volunteer position.

Potential Portland/NYC/Remote Positions

PERIOD Customer Service Representative - Remote
PERIOD Inc. is looking for a new customer service representative! This person would manage the info@period.org email address and deal with daily record keeping. This entry-level position provides numerous opportunities for promotion. Tasks required will take roughly two (2) hours per week. This is a volunteer position.

Event Coordinators
We are seeking event coordinators to help us plan conferences, fundraisers, educational and service events. The Event Coordinators will recruit speakers, sponsors, and attendees to PERIOD events. They will work closely with the Operations Director to arrange the set-up and break-down of the event. They will work closely with the Programs Director to develop the content of the event: speaker format and questions, mentorship, and social media outreach. The Event Coordinator will be the point-person for all speakers and sponsors prior to, during, and after the event. They will organize the volunteers for the event and develop the schedule of event logistics. This position includes a travel stipend + room & board.

Digital and Creative Content
As an advocacy organization, we are looking for talented and creative people to work with us on creating and distributing content that will help us break the stigma around periods and educate/advocate for the Menstrual Movement. From our website to social media platforms, we're looking to strengthen our presence.

Operations Manager - New York City, NY
We also need a student to manage service operations in New York City, including recruiting non-profit partners and coordinating monthly distribution of menstrual products. This volunteer positions require around ten (10) hours of work per week. Candidates should be available to begin remote or on-site work in April 2018 and should plan to be on site August 2018 through May 2019.

The NYC Operations Manager will recruit distribution drivers, volunteers and run care packaging events in the NYC area. They will work closely with the Operations Director to arrange supply-chain shipments, fill out requisitions and develop standard operating procedures in the given city area. NYC Operations Manager will also seek storage options, and set up partnerships with local non-profits. This is a volunteer position.

Campus Policy Director - Remote
PERIOD Inc., a youth-powered non-profit focused on menstrual health access and advocacy, seeks a student to manage policy-related programming. Role will involve communications with student representatives across the country and content development for educational programs. This volunteer must be willing to commit at least four (4) hours a week for March 2018 through December 2018 in Portland, OR. This is a volunteer position.

The Campus Policy Director will work closely with the Programs Director to spearhead our Campus Period Policy. They will be the point-person for our wide network of Chapters to help support their policy work on the campus level. The Policy Director will help develop the Policy Toolkit for our chapters, create a comprehensive social media campaign to highlight chapter achievements in policy work, and liaise with local and federal representatives to increase awareness for menstrual hygiene equity.

Municipal Policy Director - Remote
PERIOD Inc., a youth-powered non-profit focused on menstrual health access and advocacy, seeks a student to manage policy-related programming. Role will involve communications with student representatives across the country and content development for educational programs. This volunteer must be willing to commit at least four (4) hours a week for March 2018 through December 2018 in Portland, OR. This is a volunteer position.

The Municipal Policy Director will work closely with the Programs Director to create a comprehensive toolkit for youth leaders to create systemic change in their local communities through period policy. This person will be the point-person for our wide Chapter network to help support their policy work at the local and state levels. The Municipal Policy Director will work with the Campus Policy Director to highlight Chapter successes in their communities on social media. This person will also develop relationships with key local and state representatives to gather data on their policy initiatives and tap into their resources to provide more support to youth leaders who want to get involved with local/state policy.
