Our mission is to celebrate periods and provide products to those in need.
We are a group of young activists across the U.S. united by the belief that menstrual care is a basic right.
Nadya Okamoto and Vincent Forand co-founded PERIOD as high school students in 2014 after realizing that menstrual products are not reliably available to those who need them the most. PERIOD is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
We’re all about action. With the support of generous partners, sponsors and individuals, we deliver PERIOD PACKS to those in need.
It starts with changing the way we talk about periods. We elevate the issue to eliminate the taboo through a growing network of high school, college and community chapters.
We raise awareness and create change through events, campaigns and media relationships. Help us repeal the tampon tax and lobby for menstrual products in public places.

Each year, Californian menstruators are taxed over $20 MILLION just on tampons and pads because they are considered non-essential goods, yet Viagra and Rogaine do not have this sales tax. MENSTRUAL HYGIENE IS NOT A PRIVILEGE, IT IS A RIGHT. Help us get 100,000 signatures to get this campaign reviewed in Congress! Make a difference for millions of menstruators and demand systemic change towards gender equality.
