Youth Awards

• Ages 15 - 25 years old

• Collaborated with a club, group or organization to address menstrual equity
• Award winners do not have to be connected to PERIOD. chapters to be eligible for this award

• Pushed boundaries to advance menstrual equity in their community, reducing period poverty or stigma in any of the three award categories: service, education or advocacy

• Youth must be nominated by a mentor, teacher, counselor, or any other unrelated youth or adult who can speak to the applicant's character and commitment to advancing menstrual equity in their community

• Nominations are now open to US AND International applicants!

• Current or former PERIOD. Staff, Youth Advisory Council members, or Interns, are not eligible to receive this award.

• Only nominated youth are eligible to apply for this award

Youth applicants who identify as members of historically marginalized communities, including BIPOC or low-income communities will be prioritized, but is not a requirement for eligibility.

Multiple nominations for the same person are gladly accepted, but will not guarantee the person will be given additional consideration for the award.

Nominations must be submitted by the nomination deadline to be eligible to apply.

2023 Timeline:

• October 16, 2023: Nominations Close
• Oct. 1 - Nov. 1, 2023: Applications are open for nominees to submit
• November 18, 2023: Applicants notified of Award Status
• November 28, 2023: Winners will be announced through PERIOD's Communications
• December 1-18 2023: End of Year Campaign Celebration

• Award winners will be highlighted on PERIOD’s social media and online platforms with over 100,000 followers, combined, strengthening their network around country
• Winners and will each receive a $1500 award in recognition of their efforts and contributions to advancing menstrual equity in their community
