Words to live by: "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." -Mahatma Gandhi
Menstruation revelation: Every day on my way home from school, I take the 20 bus through downtown Portland, and I see people who live on the streets with very little to live with. During my freshman year at Catlin, Nadya Okamoto gave a presentation about Camions of Care (now PERIOD) that grabbed my attention. I had never thought about what women do when they get their period and have no resources to take care of themselves. Thus, I felt the need to reach out and help, which is how my work with Period began. I do what I know how to do best to help those in need.
